Vision Care Opticians are an independent group of practices in the Omagh area which have been long established and respected. We trace our origins back to the 1940’s, over 70 years ago.
Our mission is to provide you with the most efficient and professional eye care service available.
Over the years we have invested heavily in the latest modern, up to date equipment to ensure that this is so. Our new NIDEK digital retinal camera is testament to this.
Our team of four fully qualified Optometrists have combined almost 100 years of experience between them, and are supported by a friendly and efficient team of staff who are always willing to be at your assistance. You Care, We Care, Vision Care.
At Vision Care, our extensive display of fashion frames will give the most discerning clients a lot of choice. The Silhouette rimless range in particular, allow us to design your spectacles “around you”, using the latest thin, high tensile lens material available. Lens size, shape and spectacle mount colours allow huge variations to be made available to the wearer.
We offer many frame collections such as Prada, Vogue, Ray Ban, Oakley and Tag Heuer to mention a few.
Children are well catered for also with a large choice of free frames to choose from.
As an independent Optician, Vision Care can offer our clients full choice of lenses from companies such as Hoya, Zeiss, Nikon and Seiko.

Meet The Team
Una Corrigan
BSc (Hons) MC Optom. Graduated from 'The University of Ulster' Coleraine, in 2001 with her degree in Optometry. Una completed her British College of Optometrists professional exams while working in Vision Care, Omagh in 2002. Since qualifying Una has continued work in Vision Care, Omagh.
Kevin Gallagher
BSc (Hons) FC Optom. Graduated in 1978 from 'The City University' London with his degree in Optometry. Kevin completed his British College of Optometry professional exams in 1979 while working in practice in Belfast. He returned to Omagh in 1980 when he joined Keating & Gallagher Opticians. Twelve years later, in 1992 he opened Vision Care, Bridge St. The third practice was opened in Castlederg in 2001. Kevin works between both the Omagh and Castlederg practices.
Paul Hughes
BSc (Hons) MC Optom. Graduated in 1987 from 'Aston University' Birmingham, with his degree in Optometry. In 1988 he completed his British College of Optometrists professional exams while working for Lancaster & Thorpe based in the West Midlands. After qualifying, Paul returned to join Vision Care in Omagh and now works between the Omagh and Castlederg branches.
Clare Gallagher
BSc (Hons) MC Optom. Graduated from 'The City University' London, in 1987 with her degree in optometry. In 1988 she completed her British College of Optometrists professional exams while working in Belfast. Clare then worked in Belfast and Melbourne, Australia before joining Vision Care in Omagh as it opened in 1992.
